State of the art dental laboratory with imported European and American equipments. Technicians trained at centers of excellence by master technicians. Constant updating and training to keep up with the scientific advancement .
DEDICATED TO SDC
Scientific dental laboratory is under the same roof of scientific dental clinic dedicated only to Scientific Dental Clinic both under the flagship of SCIENTIFIC HEALTH CARE PVT LTD. It is non commercial and does not undertake any work from any other dental clinics .We have full time dental technicians highly trained in implant prosthetics. They are well trained ceramists who have experience over 7 years.
UNDER THE SAME ROOF
Most of the dental clinic sends their patient’s dental work to a distant dental lab and the work order are communicated to technicians who has never seen the patient.
AS BOTH SDL AND SDC are under same roof:
NO SHIPPING OF WORK TO AND FRO - HENCE COST AND TIME IS SAVED DAMAGE DURING SHIPPING WILL NOT HAPPEN MORE TRIALS POSSIBLE IN CASE OF DOUBT AS ALL UNDER ONE ROOF
TECHNICIANS AND DENTIST SEE THE PATIENT TOGATHER
But at Scientific Dental Clinic every single patient who is for replacement of lost teeth are jointly seen by the Dentist. and technicians. Here the technician gets first hand information directly from the Dentist. And the patient. There are lots of factors to consider which are important to technicians which contribute to a good work.
HENCE NO COMMUNICATION ERROR.
MIX UP BETWEEN DIFFERENT PATIENTS WORK IS COMMON IN COMMERCIAL LABS
WHAT FACTORS HELP THE TECHNITIAN TO DO A GOOD JOB
Shape, color, size of adjacent teeth
Shape of the face
Smile line, visibility of gum while smiling.
Exposure of teeth while patient talking ect.
All this will give extra information in deciding the ultimate outcome
KEEPING THE DEADLINE
Having technicians and dental lab in house are hugely advantageous in executing the work keeping to deadline. Most of our patients are coming from overseas and their onward and return journey is preplanned. So it is important to complete the work in time.
QUALITY OF THE MATERIALS USED
As dentist to ensure the quality of work is only possible if one see the work under the supervision. The materials used for fabrication of false teeth are specified and purchased by the clinic. Which is a guess in case of work is out sourced from commercial laboratory.
We use only beryllium free metal
We never reuse the metal
All the work are disinfected before and after
We use only IVOCLAIRE IPS DESIGHN PORCELAIN from Switzerland OR VITA PORCELAIN from Germany
Fabrication of false teeth involves many steps.
Following are the few steps.
Dentist. Take the measurements of the teeth or implants.
Out of these measurements the technician makes an accurate dental cast.
Upper lower dental cast are articulated to mimic exactly the way patients bites his or her teeth (this single step is very important as if the bite changes the false teeth will not fit in the mouth).
The technician then makes a wax pattern over the dental cast in the shape of the false teeth to be made. At most precision is required at the stage. The fitting of the wax pattern is going to be reproducing of the future false teeth.
This wax pattern is carefully taken out of the dental cast and invested in a casting ring with a material highly refractive to heat up to 900 to 1000degree c.
The casting ring which contains with wax pattern invested in the invest materials it’s kept in a burnout furnace for more than 3 hours at very high temperature. During this time wax pattern completely burned out. The wax pattern is made of a special type of wax which can be burned out completely with out keeping any residue .This space occupied by the wax pattern now form a die space
Semi precious metals which form the back bone of the crown and bridges are melted and the injected to this die space into the casting ring
Thus the wax pattern is reproduced to a metal coping.
This metal coping is retrieved from the casting ring and trimmed to fit the teeth which are prepared to receive crown and bridges.
Conditioning of this metal coping is done by various procedures like sand blasting, oxidation etc. before baking porcelain on to it.
The ceramist then chooses a right shade of porcelain and added it on the metal layer by layer .Each time the metal and the layer of porcelain goes into the porcelain furnace at specified program recommended by porcelain manufacture even at a temperature to 950 degree c.
This porcelain crown is trimmed and polished &fixed it on the patient’s teeth.
Any of these steps if not done properly the result will be an ill fitting false teeth or substandard work
